Mitchell is the best "Wooo"er!

It's strange. It's surreal. The Canucks are winning. My mind is still not processing it..

So more news after the MRI on Luongo. He's out week to week with an Adductor Strain (groin) and his agent says probably 4-5 weeks. No news yet on Bernier's shoulder that took him out of the game yesterday though.

I'm really liking the confidence of the team, the "Wooo"ing and mini mobs at game ends. The guys are playing well despite suffering from the flu except for Mr. Edler..

Here's a photo of a Woo!

Canucks win 4-3 against Dallas

Oiy, I have a headache now. I get really stressed out watching Canucks games. Tonight's win keeps us 8th in the Western conference.

Poor Holmqvist for letting 3 in a period during his first game with Dallas during a home game in the playoff race. But.. Marty Turco.. as much as he is frustrating to play against, he is still a damn good goalie. Confident, aggressive, smart with the puck. However, it was Louie who took it tonight. *grin*

Props to Willie Mitchell who had a hell of a night tonight.. 30 minutes of ice time.. a puck shot in the face.. a puck blocked by an ankle.. all while still playing through vertebrae pain!

Welcome back to Trevor Linen who was in the lineup tonight and let's hope we keep seeing him!!!

Yay Willie!

A few good quotes from an article on Willie Mitchell on NHL.com:

- "I’m going to probably see that puck in my dreams for a long, long time," Luongo said afterward. "I saw the puck behind me, but I couldn't get to it because my leg was on the post. I’ll never forget seeing the puck trickling down the line. Then, I saw Willie come to the rescue. It was a great play by him."

- "I took figure skating as a kid, so I was a decent backward skater," Willie smiled.

- "Maybe your right," Mitchell said. "All I know is I know I don’t have a shot like Al MacInnis, skating ability like Scott Niedermayer or the overall skills of a Scott Stevens, but my attitude is that if I can shut down the other team’s great offensive players, I count that as being a 30-goal scorer -- because if you're shutting them down from scoring goals it's just as good as scoring."
