May updates on Mattias Ohlund:
Markus Naslund, Brendan Morrison and Mattias Ohlund made a public appearance at the unveiling of The MultiSport Centre of Excellence, a new sports facility in Burnaby.
In a Kuzma article, Ohlund was quoted: "I'm obviously hoping Markus is going to come back and he's going to have a few options, but he's been a great player for the Canucks and a great friend for a long time.. It's great to have good defence, but you need to find a way to score goals in this league and that's obviously what a lot of teams are looking for."
Ohlund added that he's met with Gillis but there's been no talk of contract extension or being asked to waive his no-trade clause in any proposed deals.
