Matt Pettinger claimed by Tampa Bay
Matt and Kyle Wellwood were both going to be claimed off waivers by the Tampa Bay Lightning but only Pettinger cleared for re-entry.
Last night's game was tough. It's hard to be a one trick pony because then every team knows how to play against you - aggressively. Every team now knows to smother the talented players so they don't have a chance to work their magic.
Mattias Ohlund: "We've played seven games. We have 75 games to go. So, to give up now would not be the right thing to do."
Henrik Sedin on the third period: "They were sitting back, so it made it easier,"

I want to thank you for having this website to honour a noble defenceman, Mattias Ohlund. I have had the pleasure of watching him since 1994, when I became a Canuck fan after watching what Trevor Linden did for us and the team in the playoffs. It was the most exciting thing I had ever seen. There is a rumour going around about the Sens might be interested in Ohlund and the Message Board at Canucks.nhl.com is having a heated debate on trading Ohlund, which has made me very upset. Please keep this website running. The first time I heard about this website was when a reporter asked Mattias if he knew that there was a website honouring him and he said no. I googled Mattias Ohlund and found this page.src="http://www.smileycons.com/img/emotions/87.gif" border="0" align="ABSMIDDLE" alt="Smileycons!" title="">as

Thank you for your wonderful comment AS! It's nice to hear that there's more than 2 people that come to read about Ohlund. =P
As for the Sens interest, I sincerely hope that Ohlie retires as Canuck. However, if the team won't offer him enough, I also won't blame him for moving on. Until something concrete come up, I'll imagine that the rumours of other teams wanting him can only boost his bargaining power for a renewed contract. *grin*
